Samuel Wyatt and Melanie Pruitt
We can not wait to share our special day with you.
We had been talking for many months (closer to a year off and on) and decided to have our first date. We met at Texas Roadhouse and talked for a few minutes while we waited for our table to be ready. When we were seated, I think it was safe to assume that Sam was the nervous one while Melanie was “acting” as cool as a cucumber! Sam asked if we wanted to order an appetizer and Melanie agreed, of course what was Sam’s offer… Cheese Fries, should have known then what she was getting into! When meals were ordered Sam knew what he was getting into when Melanie ordered her salad with no cheese, guess opposites really do attract. We were clearly into each other because we talked and laughed a few hours until the restaurant closed down.
We were going to have a kid free weekend and I was going to ask her to be my wife but need a place to go and a reason to get dressed up. She decided she wanted to go for a ride on the parkway and we picked to go to Mabry Mill. So, the day comes, and we are on the way to Mabry Mill but make some stops along the parkway for some photos. I did not know when I was going to ask her I but I waited till we got up to the Mill. There were not too many people around, but I kept waiting for the right time and place. When we were sitting down on the hill side, I know this was the place but there were more people around, so we just kept talking and taking some photos. She was ready to get up and walk around some more, but I kept telling her to wait for a few more minutes. Eventually most of the people left and I pulled the ring out and asked her. She did not know what to say. She did not expect me to ask that day. But when she stop crying she said yes. It was a beautiful end to the day.
